We are off a Great Start…Again!

We started our third consecutive study for the couple’s group. I want to thank all of the married couples that joined us last night. It was a wonderful night of fellowship and learning about the Lord and marriage.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

In case you missed it, our new study is title “The 5 Sex Needs of Men and Women“. This great study discusses the interaction between men and women in a Christian marriage. It not too late for you to join us!

Many couples think these studies are only for those marriages in trouble. Let me ask you, do you put your shutters when the hurricane arrived? Of course not! These studies give your marriage the tools under the guidance of God to deal with anything in good times and in bad times. We invite you to see what other couples are saying about our couple’s night.

As Ephesians 4:2-3 says, “2Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” You too can start investing in your marriage and make every effort to keep the unity of your marriage. Do not wait any longer and register today.

BUT, WHAT ABOUT DINNER?

After every session we continue fellowship with a wonderful dinner. That is right, now there is no excuse to stay at home. Every Wednesday, a participating couple donates a wonderful dinner for all of us to enjoy. By the way, for those couple already participating, we included in our website a dinner schedule.

WHERE DO I SIGN UP?

All you have to do is visit our site, and register for our study. Invite other couples so they also benefit from this wonderful fellowship. Our next session is Wednesday (July 1st) at 7:30pm. See you there.

If you are one of the participants, feel free to share your comments for others to read!

Calling All Couples

We just successfully completed the couple’s Study “6 Secrets to a Lasting Love“. It was a wonderful study that covered some key components to a loving and lasting marriage in the Lord. In addition, the fellowship was terrific! Couples were able to discuss and share their experiences with others within the group which was an essential part of the study.

Next Wednesday June 24th, we venture into deeper territories with a new study titled “The 5 Sex Needs of Men and Women. You don’t want to miss it!

The study will entail a great deal of information related to the intimacy that God intended for your marriage. Regardless of how many years you’ve been married, you will gain valuable insight to a deeper relationship with your spouse and the Lord.

We invite you and your friends to hear some testimonies from the couples who just completed the recent study and to register online. So, get ready for an exciting ride into Great Sex in a Godly Marriage.

To See or Not to See…

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.2 Corinthians 4:18

eye

Do you have 20/20 vision? If you do, continue eating those carrots! Unfortunately however there are many that do not have good vision. It is quite common in today’s day and age to hear of friends, family members and coworkers needing glasses or contact lenses. In the last two decades, there have also been significant advances made in corrective eye surgery.

With Lasik eye surgery for example, the procedure is done in the doctor’s office within a couple of hours. In the majority of cases, some time after the surgery patients are able to see clearly without the use of corrective eyewear. If you’ve ever known someone who has had the procedure done, they will tell you about the freedom they felt being able to see clearly without assistance.

Whether you wear eyeglasses/lenses or not, how are you seeing the things going on around you? How do you see others? When we encounter tribulations there is a tendency to lose focus, just like when we have poor vision. The Bible tells us that we are to fix our eyes not on what we see, but on what is not seen. That means that we have to direct our eyes to the Lord. He has to be the center of our attention. He should be our focus like we are the apple of His eye.

When we focus on what is "Temporary", we will become consumed and overwhelmed. Doubt and anxiety will lead to a lack of faith. We must see and understand that our tribulations are part of God’s great plan (See 1 Peter 1:6-7). Our tribulations are an opportunity for others to see how God shapes us into faithful Christians. Our focus must be on the goal of God’s plan and how we will become better for it. Remember, "…we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." Romans 5:3-5.

As children of the Most High God, we must see His plan and allow others to see us as well. Additionally, when we see others, we are to see them with the eyes of our Father. Otherwise, we open the door for criticism and judgment to come in. But when Jesus is our focal point, everything becomes crystal clear. For we know that no matter what happens, He is in control… He is going to work everything out for our good… and in Him we will have victory. If you want to experience total freedom, fix your eyes on Him. You will see everything in a different light.
