What’s New at Vida Nueva?

New and exciting things are happening at Vida Nueva Christian Ministries. We want to keep you up to date with the latest. If you haven’t visited us in a while or if you are looking for a home church, we invite you to worship with us.

Pastor’s Appreciation Sunday, October 18

A special Pastor’s Appreciation service will be held this Sunday, 10/18 at 11:00am. Our very own Hook Square will lead worship and Ricky Jr. will bring the Word. Make sure to invite your friends and family! This will be a youth led service. Also, if you are interested in bringing a food item, please contact Martha Avila at mavila@heartbeatofmiami.org.

Renovations in the Sanctuary

Lots of renovations going on! The Children’s church room and adult Sunday School (for Spanish speaking folks) are now separated into two rooms. We will also have the capability of opening up the room to make it into a fellowship hall for special services. Pastor Ricky will be working on this project throughout the next few weeks.

The Nursery is now updated, painted and adorable! We are kindly asking only Mommies of babies, toddlers or breastfeeding, to take full advantage of our nursery in order to keep minimal distractions during times of service. You won’t miss a beat! You can watch the entire service on the nursery TV.

Finally, the ladies and men’s bathroom has been fully renovated! A special thank you goes to Felix Hernandez for his hard work throughout the week and to David Barrera for helping Pastor Ricky bring down the wall! There is still some painting to be done so we need your help! Youth in need of service hours, bring your paint gear! If anyone is interested in helping, please see Pastor Ricky.

Children’s Church and Nursery Workers

We are in need of Children’s Church as well as Nursery workers! It is a rewarding service to be able to touch the lives of these little ones! Children are a gift from God and we have a great responsibility to teach them at a young age about Jesus. With the newly renovated Nursery, we need workers to be available for the smaller children! Please help us out in this area. If you are interested in this worthwhile ministry, please see Hilda Solares or email at hsm217@msn.com.

There is something for everyone here at Vida Nueva Christian Ministries. For more information, please call our church office at 305-830-9477 or visit us at vidanuevaministries.org.

Joy in the Midst of Hard Times?

girl_help

The Bible gives us great insight for this puzzling question. In James 1:2-4, it says; “Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Isn’t it interesting that James tells us to “consider it all joy, when we go through different trials..“? It is certainly a difficult task to be joyful when we face hardship. However, that’s exactly what the Bible tells us to do! I am sure that if we each take into account all of the trials and tribulations of our past, we can come to a common conclusion that we endured and that our faith grew as a result.

Our outlook on the matter needs to change in order to experience this joy that we are to practice while under such tribulations. How so? By having faith and knowing that our Lord is right there with us and that He will see us through! Simple right? YES INDEED!

In the wonderful faith chapter in Hebrews 11, the Bible tells us that “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” You see, we need to have the faith and assurance that no matter what, our God will see us through! If you recall the message I gave a few weeks ago…while Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego were in the fiery furnace, it was Jesus who was right there with them. They didn’t get burned and they were smoke-free when they came out!

So today, as you face your fiery furnace, know that the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords is right there with you, so count it all joy! James 1:12 tells us, “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

Consider it all joy, for He will always see you through!

Are you going through a rough time in your life presently? Please know that there is a church that will pray for you. Feel free to send us your prayer requests by using this link. (Prayer Request)
