As we begin our 21 days of fasting on September 1, let us prepare our hearts to meet with our Savior daily to pray for the following:
Repentance (Personal, the Nations)
- 2 Chronicles 7:14 – "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
- Matthew 4:17 – "From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.“
Our Church Body (For health, growth, etc.)
- Proverbs 3:7-9 – "Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops."
- 1 Chronicles 4:10 – "Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request."
Schools/Administrators/Teachers
- Phillipians 2:10-12 – "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Our Youth/Our Children/Prodigal Sons & Daughters
- Psalm 144:12 – "Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace."
- Luke 15:23-24 – "And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast, for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.’ So the party began."

On Sunday, during our combined service, Chosen Generation Youth Group gave their personal testimony of their experience during the missions trip. Each of these young adults gave God the glory for using them and touching them in a new, powerful and fresh way.
Special Recognition was given to Randy and Hilda Solares for leading the youth of Vida Nueva Christian Ministries and for their years of service in youth ministry. Pastors Ricky and Yvette presented Randy and Hilda with their ministry license and introduced them to the congregation as Youth Pastors!
God is doing some amazing things in our midst and we don’t want you to miss out!
As a reminder, on Sunday, August 23rd, we will have a special combined service at 11:00am and after service, we will be praying at Miami Springs Middle School. Come comfortably for this service!

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. 10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:1-3; 10
Life guards tell us that if you are caught in a rip current, the key to survival is to swim out of it, not against it. The way this is accomplished is by simply swimming parallel to shore. The real danger lies in how you react when caught in one. Most swimmers tend to panic, lose their strength, and eventually go under.
We can learn much from such a lesson. In this life, we will experience turmoil, tribulation, and trials. However, the key to surviving such storms is how we react in the midst of them. The Lord tells us in Psalm 46:10 to “Be still, and know that I am God…” We can gain strength during these times if we would only allow Him to be our strength and our refuge, our help in times of trouble. How is this accomplished? By trusting Him that He will see you through! Do not panic or you will lose your strength. Swim parallel towards His loving arms and He will see you safely to the shore!
Combined Service This Sunday
A reminder that this coming Sunday, August 2nd is our combined service at 11:00am. Our Youth Sunday School, Ignite, and adult Sunday School, is at 10:00am.
You do not want to miss this Sunday as the Youth will be testifying of how the hand of God moved during the Mission’s trip!
