Pastor’s Appreciation Sunday, October 18

A special Pastor’s Appreciation service will be held this Sunday, 10/18 at 11:00am. Our very own Hook Square will lead worship and Ricky Jr. will bring the Word. Make sure to invite your friends and family! This will be a youth led service. Also, if you are interested in bringing a food item, please contact Martha Avila at mavila@heartbeatofmiami.org.

Renovations in the Sanctuary

Lots of renovations going on! The Children’s church room and adult Sunday School (for Spanish speaking folks) are now separated into two rooms. We will also have the capability of opening up the room to make it into a fellowship hall for special services. Pastor Ricky will be working on this project throughout the next few weeks.

The Nursery is now updated, painted and adorable! We are kindly asking only Mommies of babies, toddlers or breastfeeding, to take full advantage of our nursery in order to keep minimal distractions during times of service. You won’t miss a beat! You can watch the entire service on the nursery TV.

Finally, the ladies and men’s bathroom has been fully renovated! A special thank you goes to Felix Hernandez for his hard work throughout the week and to David Barrera for helping Pastor Ricky bring down the wall! There is still some painting to be done so we need your help! Youth in need of service hours, bring your paint gear! If anyone is interested in helping, please see Pastor Ricky.

Children’s Church and Nursery Workers

We are in need of Children’s Church as well as Nursery workers! It is a rewarding service to be able to touch the lives of these little ones! Children are a gift from God and we have a great responsibility to teach them at a young age about Jesus. With the newly renovated Nursery, we need workers to be available for the smaller children! 21 DAY FAST - September 1 - 21

We have begun our 21 day corporate fast! Please click on the link for an updated outline of the prayer points we are covering during this special time with the Lord! (21 Day Fast) Let us come before the throne of grace daily, seek His face and expect miracles to take place! We serve a God of miracles!

COMBINED SERVICES IN SEPTEMBER (9/6 & 9/13)

As a reminder, we have combined service this coming Sunday, September 6th at 11:00am.
Ignite (for the youth) and adult Sunday School is at 10:00am. Come get a fresh word as we gather together in one mind and one accord!

Also, note that we will be having combined service the following Sunday, September 13th at 11:00am.
We look forward to seeing you worship our King of Kings and Lord of Lords together with us!

As we begin our 21 days of fasting on September 1, let us prepare our hearts to meet with our Savior daily to pray for the following:

Repentance (Personal, the Nations)

• 2 Chronicles 7:14 - "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
  
• Matthew 4:17 - "From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.“

Our Church Body (For health, growth, etc.)

• Proverbs 3:7-9 - "Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops."
  
• 1 Chronicles 4:10 - "Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request."

Schools/Administrators/Teachers

• Phillipians 2:10-12 - "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
