“I will praise You, because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and I know this very well.” Psalm 139:14
When you look in a mirror, what do you see? Do you see God’s perfect creation or do you begin to focus on the things you consider to be imperfections? We live in a world where so much emphasis is placed on what society deems to be “acceptable”.
From magazines to movies, billboards and television programs, the focus is placed on the concept of what qualifies beauty. This notion crosses all age brackets, races and cultures and causes a wave of insecurities. As a result, so many people today alter their appearance in an attempt to meet those standards. But as Christians we have to stand bold and confident with whom we are in Jesus.
The Bible tells us that we have been wonderfully made by the Lord. God knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). You are His masterpiece. Do you tell an artist that his work of art needs to be altered? Of course not!
When we complain about how we look, what are we saying to our Creator? We need to understand that God made us in his own image (Genesis 1:27). We may all be different but we are perfect in His sight. He loves us unconditionally. We are His offspring.
WAL-MART GIFT CARDS
We continue to receive can foods for our Missions trip to Lexington, Georgia. Additionally, if you do not want to donate can foods, we encourage you to donate Wal-Mart gift cards. These gift cards will help families buy vital items for their household. We will be receiving donations until Sunday, July 19th.
Many thanks for your support!

First of all we want to thank everyone who supported us in the Youth Concert and the Car Wash. We had a great time in both activities. Your support is immeasurable in the lives of the Youth.

NEW FEATURE!
We are proud to inform you that we are on Twitter! We are planning many things for the mission’s trip and this one of them. This trip will be like no other before. We are incorporating multiple technologies for you and our Youth to stay connected with up to the minute updates.
BUT, WHAT IS TWITTER?
Twitter is a service for people to communicate and stay connected via short and frequent messages. These short messages or “tweets” will provide you with current information relating to all events relevant to Vida Nueva Christian Ministries.
Starting today, we will be posting “tweets” about our plans and our mission trip. You can interact with all of us by following us on Twitter. All you have to do is click on the “Twitter” logo (Top Right Column) and sign up.
Additionally, our home webpage will be updated in “real-time” with our “tweets”. Take a look at the left side of our web pages, just below our calendar.
SUPPORT THE YOUTH
Your comments and interaction will reinforce the good work these young adults are doing. Don’t forget to give them feedback via Twitter and by responding to our newsletters.
So remember,

The Youth Missions trip is quickly approaching. Can you believe we are only two weeks away? We are all excited and asking the Lord to allow us to make a difference in the lives of the families we will be ministering to in Georgia. In lieu of this great opportunity, we are turning up the volume (literally) with plenty of activities this week.
The books of Acts 20:35 says, “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus Himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” We continue to align ourselves with the Word of God and ask you to join us in providing for those in need. In an effort to continue raising funds, we have two great activities planned.
First of all, we want to invite you this Friday, July 10th at 7:30pm to a free Youth Concert with our very own “Hook Square“! This is a great opportunity for you, your family and friends to join us and listen to great music. Take time and come out to support the youth! Want to invite more people? Print our Concert Flyer and bring everyone you know to our church (see our Location Map) on Friday for a great night of music and worship. A love offering will be collected to go towards the mission’s trip.
Another great activity that we have planned is for Saturday, July 11th. We will be holding a Car Wash in the church parking lot. Starting at 9am, Chosen Generation will be ready with soap and sponges! Bring your dirty car and leave with it clean. Donations will be accepted and all proceeds collected will be used towards the Youth Georgia Missions trip.
If you have any questions and want to support these activities, please contact Pastor Yvette @ 305-830-9477.
Thank you for your support and see you there!
