Here are some upcoming events at Vida Nueva Christian Ministries:

This Friday, November 13th, our very own youth praise team, Hook Square, will be leading praise and worship at a local church in Opa Locka. This will take the place of our normal youth group this Friday. This service will be held at Rebaño Capilla del Rey and it is located at: 4450 NW 135th Street in Opa Locka, FL 33054. Our youth have had numerous opportunities to lead worship or perform in different venues and we praise the Lord for our young adults that shine for Jesus! Come out and support Hook Square as we unite with other brothers and sisters in the Lord in worship!

Saturday, November 14th: A FREE Tax Seminar will be held at Vida Nueva Christian Ministries at 9:00am. Come out and ask all of the questions you have regarding taxes! Sunday, November 15th: Join us for a special service at 11:00am with a guest Pastor from Colombia, Pastor Faber Gonzalez. The Lord uses Pastor Faber powerfully in the prophetic realm. Although this service will be in Spanish, there will be English translation available for English speaking only. Invite all of your friends and family! As a reminder, our English Adult Sunday School begins at 9:00am and English service is at 9:30am. Spanish Adult Sunday School is at 10:00am and the Spanish service begins at 11:00am.

Time Change!

It’s time to turn your clocks back one hour on Saturday night before you go to bed. Sunday, we will be having combined service at 11 am. Sunday school begins at 10 am (both English & Spanish). Ignite is also at 10 am this Sunday! See you there!

Fun Alternative

The October Bash alternative event will be held on Saturday, October 31st at La Puerta Life Center at 6:00pm. Hook Square will be performing! There will be free food, games and candy. Tax Advice

Tax time will be soon upon us. We will be having a Free Tax Seminar on Saturday, November 14th from 9 - 11 am at our church. Get all of your questions answered so that you are prepared when it’s time to file your taxes. Since space is limited, please be sure to visit our website to register.

The corporate fast and prayer is well underway at Vida Nueva Christian Ministries. We are at Day 9 today. 2 Chronicles 7:14; "if my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

Fasting is a privilege and allows for the Christian to grow closer to God. It is also a very powerful weapon. During our fast, let us be specific about our prayers. Remember that our focus during this fast is to pray for the youth! This generation is under attack and we must intercede for them during these very trying times. 1 Peter 2:9 says, "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." Let us declare this verse for our youth!

A few things to keep in mind during the fast:

1. Meet with the Father daily! Set a time from your busy schedule to sit with the Master and Creator of the Universe! He always has time for you!
2. Pray without ceasing! Just because you have finished praying during your scheduled time, doesn’t mean you have to stop praying. As you go through your day, be open to pray for others as the Lord leads.
3. Keep a journal. There are some incredible things He has done, and will do in your life. This is a good way of keeping record of answered prayers or experiences.
4. Trust Him for your miracle! "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:4-6)
5. Have a spirit of expectation! When you meet with the Lord, know that He too has set that time aside just for you, so be expectant that He is there with you, hearing your cry and listening to your heart.
6. Seek after Him fervently! For…"He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him!" (Hebrews 11:6)
